Monthly Egg Chew, Saturday, January 17, 2015

The ARROW Monthly Egg Chew (breakfast) will take place on Saturday, January 17 from 9-11 AM at the Classic Cup Cafe, 4389 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor. Come for good food and good conversation. Everyone welcome, including friends and family members.

January General Meeting, Wednesday, January 14, 2015

Please join us on Wednesday, January 14 for the ARROW General Meeting in or near room BE-172 at Washtenaw Community College. We start gathering at 7 PM and the meeting actually starts at 7:30. Here’s a note from our President about the meeting:

The program for the first meeting this year needs your help to prevent me from doing all the talking. If you have something new in your shack or an item that you find makes operation more fun or easier, bring it and show the rest of us what we are missing. For the second part of the program, I have had several people ask me to bring in some of my HT collection. It will be an informal presentation and I will adjust my comments to go with what the group has to offer with their items.

Monthly breakfast one week later than usual, now on December 27

PLEASE NOTE: The ARROW breakfast (aka Monthly Egg Chew) will be delayed one week this month, taking place on Saturday, December 27th at 9:00 AM at the Classic Cup Cafe, 4389 Jackson Rd, Ann Arbor. We have again been preempted by that jolly old elf, Santa Claus, who will be having breakfast with kids on our usual date.

Election of Board of Directors

At the general meeting on December 10, 2014, the following people were elected to the ARROW Board of Directors:
President: Jack Spence, N8PMG
Secretary: Mary Anne Nugent, W8VWY
Treasurer: Harvey Bauss, KB8MUP
Technical Coordinator: Jay Nugent, WB8TKL
Public Service Officer: Jim Lommel, WD8RWI
Activities Coordinator: John Wasciuk, WA8TON

Yes, those are some familiar sounding names, as all were in these same positions last year.

In addition, we have a new Trustee for the W8PGW callsign, as Sam Spiteri, K8NOS, stepped forward to take on this task. Sam and our other two Trustees, Jeff, W8SGZ, and Dan, KB6NU, will need to determine who will serve as the Trustee Delegate.

Thanks to all members who have already paid their 2015 dues. For those who have not yet done so, please send a check for $20 to Harvey at 3322 Yellowstone, Ann Arbor, 48105, or pay via PayPal.

We ended the December meeting with our annual White Elephant Swap, which is always fun.
