Come join us for our annual Holiday Brunch
Four Points Sheraton
3200 Boardwalk
Ann Arbor
Adults $21.00
Seniors (65+) $18.00
These prices include tax and gratuity. This year the Sheraton has no children’s price for the buffet. Family members and friends are highly encouraged to attend! Reservations are NOT necessary.
Please join us for the next regular Arrow meeting. In addition to nominations for club officers for 2014, we will have a discussion of embedded computer development environments. These are pieces of software that you run on a desktop/laptop that allow the creation of custom software and applications to run on computers built into other devices. This will be a brief survey of things you can investigate on the way to developing your own stuff. Nothing beats the thrill of doing it yourself.
I plan to have presentations on the Beagle Bone Black, the Arduino, the Basic Stamp, and the PIC family.

Join us on Wednesday evening, October 9th from 7-9 PM for our monthly meeting in Room BE-172 on the Washtenaw Community College campus. The program features Russ Dwarshuis, KB8U, talking about UHF propagation and communications on the 10 GHz band. Russ will have some toys to show and demonstrate, and I for one am curious about how folks do this stuff. Won’t you join us?

The monthly Egg Chew (breakfast) that we share with the Michigan QRP group will take place at the Classic Cup Cafe on Jackson Road between Zeeb and Wagner on Saturday, September 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. Friends and family members are welcome to join us. I hope to see you there!
Following breakfast, we will repeat the new activity we started last month: Saturday Morning Radio. This activity is designed to provide an opportunity for new hams to learn more about various aspects of the hobby. This month, the focus is field antennas. All hams with any type of portable antennas are invited to bring them, and anyone interested in viewing them, come along to see them. This will take place in or near the northeast corner of the Meijer parking lot at the corner of Jackson and Zeeb at 11 a.m.
